The JT Solution to a Princess Diana Ring Replica

Even though most of the people reading this blog aren't daily jewelry news junkies, I'm pretty sure that all of you know that Prince William proposed to Kate Middleton, and he did it with the late Princess Diana's beautiful blue sapphire and diamond ring! Even CNN featured the breaking news on their website, so I think it’s pretty safe assumption to make. Of course, the jewelry industry is thrilled that this happened, not only for the happy royal couple, but also for the attention it focuses on fine jewelry. There have been tons of articles written already on the subject (with more to come we’re sure!), so here are a few sites where you can read up on the big news:

We were also contacted by a journalist writing a peice for MSN, so we’ll let you know when the article goes live! Meanwhile, Jane and I were thinking about what our JT version of a replica ring would look like. One of our newest designs, featured in Nordstom’s Luxe Book this year, happens to showcase some gorgeous London blue topaz (that looks remarkably like sapphire) and is surrounded by diamonds. The ring makes quite a statement, for a fraction of the cost of an 18ct blue sapphire, but it’s every bit as glamorous! In the photos above, we played up the ring’s “left-hand” potential and sandwiched it between some diamond eternity bands, but it’s just as gorgeous when flying solo on a right hand. We hope you are all enjoying their engagement as much as we are J Look out for a new samle sale iten and trunk show news tomorrow...

Cheers! Cleo
