As I planted my cucumber plant late this year, we are just now starting to eat our first batch of garden-fresh cukes. While I love them simply diced and tossed into my salads, I also can't wait to make Cleo's Tzatziki sauce recipe from last year (click here to see it)! If you don't have a cuke plant growing, you should stop by your local farmer's market to pick some up. I love how fresh cukes don't have a tough/bitter outer skin, so you could bite right into them like an apple if you pleased! Enjoy these last weeks of summer and if you're on the East coast, be safe in dealing with Hurricane Irene this weekend!
