2014 Blooms with Pantone's Radiant Orchid

orchid, amethyst, gold, rose, diamond, jewelry

Imagine our surprise when Pantone announced 2014's "Color of the Year" as Radiant Orchid, and we realized that we had just made a large portion of our new collection's samples in this very shade. Our surprise then turned into delight as we did a little happy dance and thanked the holiday spirits for Jane's seemingly psychic abilities! We love Pantone's description of their selection for Color of the Year...

"An invitation to innovation, Radiant Orchid encourages expanded creativity and originality, which is increasingly valued in today’s society. An enchanting harmony of fuchsia, purple and pink undertones, Radiant Orchid inspires confidence and emanates great joy, love and health. It is a captivating purple, one that draws you in with its beguiling charm.”

We personally couldn't think of a better color to represent 2014, as we head full-throttle into launching Rosebud, a collection full of Jane's creativity and originality. All of the pieces above are brand-spanking new and set in rose gold, which we find pairs beautifully with the pink undertones of the radiant orchid hued amethyst.

Cheers to 2014! xo

Insta Roundup: Sayonara Summer

Officially kicking off Fall this week made us realize how quickly Summer flew by! So we rounded up some of favorite moments in the form of Instagram snaps below.

Our Summer was filled with both excitement and some stress as we put the finishing touches on our new Rosebud collection and began a partnership with the Fragments showroom in NYC. Another notable happening was that we were invited to participate in a styled bridal photo shoot coordinated by Roey Mizrahi Events in NYC, and I was able to play model for a day with my real life fiancé. (Oh yeah, and I got engaged this Summer, almost forgot that that happened!) The photos are going to be featured on the ultimate wedding blog, Style Me Pretty, which we are so excited about! We aren't allowed to share photos from the shoot yet, but we will as soon as possible.

I would love for y'all to stay connected via Instagram or Facebook for lots of gem filled imagery and behind the scenes peeks at our newest projects! Happy Fall gem lovers,

Dark Florals for Fall Fashion

dark florals for Fall 2013 Over the past couple of weeks, our inbox has been abuzz with the talk of floral fashions taking a turn for the dark side. We were delighted to read Who What Wear's trend report on the seasonal interpretation of an often overly saccharine motif.  While pastel florals are a welcome sight come Springtime, we look forward to wrapping ourselves in darker, more romantic colors for Fall. We love that Equipment released one of their signature silk blouses with muted white and grey flowers popped against a chic navy background, while Topshop is offering everything from iPhone cases to playfully printed jumpsuits. The earring and necklace duo above from our new Rosebud collection pair blackened silver and yellow gold with red, orange, and yellow sapphires, diamonds and moonstones. Jane's genius design balances the moody, mystical hues against a light and airy structure.

Happy almost Fall everyone!

Introducing Jane Taylor Jewelry at Fragments!

We are so PUMPED to announce that in July we will be making our debut with the Fragments Showroom! Sadly, we won't be attending the Couture Show this year because we are busy little bees working on the new gold collection for Fragments, but we'll be living vicariously through everyone's Instagram accounts :) Don't forget to follow us too @janetaylorjewelry for a look at the inspiration and designs behind the new collection, Rosebud!all-our-sparkly-love

Introducing Jane Taylor Jewelry at Fragments

Spring 2013: A Photo Diary

So far, this year has been a whirlwind for Jane and I! There's been a fair share of traveling for new projects and lots of new designs in the works. I've been snapping photos along the way with the intention of sharing them much sooner on the blog, but y'all know how life has a tendency to get in the way of the best laid plans. So here they are- in reverse chronological order- to give you guys a glimpse of what's been going on "behind the scenes" with Jane Taylor Jewelry. Most recently, we  joined the Fragments showroom, and couldn't be more excited about it! (For those not in the industry, Fragments is a jewelry powerhouse that represents some of the most talented established and up-and-coming designers out there, so we are beyond honored to become a part of the gang.) The photos go all the way back to February when we visited the Gem Shows in Tuscon, AZ, so hopefully you guys enjoy the ride via photos as much as we have these past few months. Also, where has this year gone?! Seriously people, it's May, how did that happen? all-our-sparkley-love
